Day 01 :
Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Day 02 :
Full Day Exploration of Maasai Mara
- Morning: Enjoy an early morning game drive when predators are most active. Alternatively, book an optional Hot Air Balloon Safari followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
- Afternoon: After lunch at the camp, embark on an extended game drive or visit the Mara River (famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings, depending on the season) to spot hippos and basking crocodiles.
- Evening: Return to camp as the sun sets over the Mara. Dinner and overnight.
Day 03 :
Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
- Morning: After breakfast, check out and drive northward through the Rift Valley floor to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch.
- Afternoon: Head into the park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its birdlife (including flamingos and pelicans), dense acacia forests, and being one of the best places in Kenya to spot both black and white rhinoceros.
- Evening: Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 04 :
Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park
- Morning: Enjoy an early breakfast, check out, and embark on a scenic drive toward Amboseli National Park, situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy lunch en route or upon arrival.
- Afternoon: Enter Amboseli and enjoy a game drive on your way to the lodge. Watch for massive herds of elephants roaming against the stunning backdrop of Africa's tallest mountain.
- Evening: Arrive at your lodge, settle in, enjoy dinner, and rest.
Day 05 :
Full Day in Amboseli National Park
- Morning: Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s diverse habitats, which range from dried-up lake beds and wetlands with sulphur springs to savannahs and woodlands. Keep your camera ready for classic shots of elephants with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background.
- Afternoon: Visit Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the park’s swamps and marshes teeming with elephants, buffalos, hippos, and a plethora of waterbirds.
- Evening: Enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 06 :
Amboseli to Nairobi (Departure)
- Morning: Wake up for an early morning game drive to catch the sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, check out, and begin your drive back to Nairobi.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi by mid-afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your onward flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day safari.
